Joost Das is a board game designer and illustrator based in Utrecht, Netherlands, known for blending artful visuals with engaging tabletop experiences. He creates original games and collaborates on bespoke board-game products that emphasize strong player interaction and expressive design. He is active in the local design scene, organizing and participating in events like Utrecht Board Game Design XXL, where emerging prototypes are showcased and play-tested by the public. His work reflects a warm, creative approach that brings together storytelling, illustration, and interactive gameplay.
Emiel van der Vreugd
Innovator & Community Builder
Emiel is passionate about meaningful connections in everything he does, bringing people and ideas together in new and interesting ways. Playing has always been the most natural way to connect. Games have introduced him to countless worlds and similar experiences.
With a background in business, a passion for innovation and a love of games, Gezellig Games was a logical next step on his path.
Ruud Nederpelt
Game publisher & Game designer
Ruud Nederpelt is a board game designer and publisher and the creative force behind Wulfhorn Games. With a background in graphic design and branding, he creates games where mechanics, visual design, and theme reinforce one another, usually not alone but together with other designers, playtesters, and creative minds.
From intergalactic adventures in Stellar Expedition to time-traveling animals in Time Zoo, his games are shaped through collaboration, refined through play, and driven by smart ideas, clear design, and above all, fun. He is also a co- founder of Amsterdam Board Game Design, where making games together is just as important as playing them.
